Saheed Osupa was born on August 7, in Ajegunle, Lagos, Nigeria, into a family of musicians, which helped nurture his musical talent from an early age. He began performing at local events and parties within and outside Lagos State. In 1992, he launched his professional music career with the release of his debut album, Fuji Fadisco. His style was influenced by Fuji pioneers such as Dr. Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, Sunny Ade, Moshood Okunola, and others.

He pioneered the modernization of Fuji music by blending traditional Yoruba elements with contemporary styles and created the Hip-Fuji genre. More than 50 chart-topping albums and over 10,000 live performances, both locally and internationally, reflect his enduring impact. He began his education at St. Mary’s RCM School in Abukuru, Ajegunle, Lagos, and later graduated from Amuwo Odofin High School in Schools Village, Mile 2, Lagos.
